Security

Toggle: enabledChecks.security plus a security config object · Fix: none · Command: security

Reports committed or root-level environment files, environment-file loaders, secret-shaped environment access in client roots, forbidden imports and terms, and process-environment access outside allowed runtime roots. Security findings fail the run.

Configure security.forbiddenTerms, security.forbiddenImports, security.clientRoots, and security.allowProcessEnvRoots. Roots are repository paths. This is a portable guardrail, not proof that an application is secure.

Before — client code reads a secret-shaped variable:

const token = import.meta.env.API_SECRET;

After — keep the secret on the server and expose only the operation the client needs:

const response = await fetch('/api/account');
const account = await response.json();

The appropriate server/API design depends on the application; the quality check reports the boundary violation and does not rewrite it.
